A packing slip on eBay is a document that lists the most important details of the shipment that the customer should receive. These details include the number of items, description, product or SKU number, and quantity, among others.

Once the contents of the order and the prices have been verified, a packing slip should be printed on eBay and added inside the package. A packing slip also allows the buyer to refer to the shipped items and quantity.

If you’re a seller on eBay and actively ship items to your customers, we encourage you to also include a packing slip, which you can easily from your eBay Seller Hub. While this feature is readily available, you’ll need to how to print one.

This guide is designed to teach you how to configure and print a packing slip on eBay, which will contain all of the relevant shipping information. We’ll share a detailed step-by-step process with screenshots that you can refer to.

1. Log into Your eBay Account

In order to print a packing slip for the order, you’ll need to log into your account. Start by visiting www.ebay.com, and click on the Sign In button located in the upper left corner of the page.

When the Sign In page loads, enter your email address or username where it mentions Email or username in the center of the page. Then, enter your password in the section that says Password, and click on Continue to access your account. If you’re already logged into your eBay account, you may skip this step.

2. Go To The Seller Hub

You’ll now need to go to the Seller Hub. If you have a seller on eBay, you should have access to it on the platform. The Seller Hub provides you access to all necessary tools. It is a handy platform that helps you manage all orders easily.

After signing in, hover the cursor of your mouse on the My eBay option in the upper right corner of the page. It’s located between the Watchlist and the notification bell icon.

After clicking on My eBay, you will see a dropdown menu. On the drop-down menu, select Selling to access your Seller Hub. This can be quite confusing for some, as it’s not labeled as Seller Hub on the menu.

3. Click on “Print Labels and Post”

Once you have accessed your Seller Hub, you will be able to see your Tasks, Sales, Listings, and more details on the page. On the left side of the page, you will notice a comprehensive section of options under Tasks

You’ll find the most important to-do activities that you should take care of under the Tasks heading. Find and click on Print Labels and Post under the Tasks heading to begin creating a packing slip for your order.

4. Select the Item You Want to Print the Label For

After you have clicked on the Print labels and post option, you will be directed to a page where you can view all items that are waiting to be dispatched. Search for the product you need to print a packing slip for.

Then, select the empty tick box on its left side. Scroll up to the top of the item list and click on the large Postage button.

5. Click on “Print Postage Labels or Invoices”

Once you have clicked on the Postage option, you will see a Print postage labels or invoices option at the top of the dropdown menu. This will let you configure and print your packing slip, which eBay refers to as a postage label.

6. Select “Address Labels and Invoice/Packing Slip”

Once the Print Postage Label page loads, the website will ask you to select one option from multiple choices. Look for the Invoice and Address Labels heading (it may be the second heading) on the page and select the empty tick box adjacent to Address Labels and Invoice / Packing Slip

Then, click on the continue bottom. On some screen resolutions, the continue button is located all the way down.

7. Select Your Printer & Print Packing Slip

In the final step, you’ll learn how to configure your packing slip by selecting your preferred printer and then printing it. Once you click on Continue, you will be redirected to a page where you can preview the packing slip with the address labels.

You can also choose your preferred printing options (number of copies, file format, number of pages, and other details). After you have configured your printing preferences, you can choose your printer from the dropdown menu at the top of the window and click on Print

The address label (packing slip) you will print for the order using this method will contain details about the package’s destination and buyer and invoice details. The packing slip section of the document will include the order number, invoice printing, and date.

Moreover, it will also include the record number, name of items ordered, number of items ordered, specifications regarding the item, sub-total price, price per item, postage and packing costs, seller discounts, and the total price.
